NWD Accountancy are celebrating a successful year with a move to new premises in Darlington.
Founded by Nicola Waters-Davies in 2015, NWD Accountancy previously operated from Nicola’s home until an increase in clients led to a need for additional staff and a larger office space in a professional environment.
Now located within Business Central on Central Park, the company provides services such as completion of year end accounts, personal tax, corporation tax, management accounts, CIS returns, payroll and VAT services. Nicola explains:
“I’m delighted with the progress we have made since first opening the business. Our client base has grown and we’re now working with an array of businesses including actors, football clubs, sole traders, construction, and manufacturing companies.
“Our approach is very much hands on ensuring we advise clients throughout the year, keeping in touch on a regular basis and not just when it’s time to submit their end of year accounts.
“We’re available 24/7, offering a more personal approach. We don’t want people to fear the accounts process so providing continuous advice strengthens the relationship to ensure everything runs smoothly.
“Earlier this year we employed an apprentice and began to offer payroll services. So whether it’s one off accounts, or a whole list of services, we have a package to suit. We’re also working with many clients to ensure they are ready for Making Tax Digital”.
In November last year, NWD moved to Business Central, a state of the art office complex designed for growing, and established SME’s. Nicola adds:
“With the increase in clients and staff, we just couldn’t continue to work from home. Especially as we plan to recruit again towards the end of the year.
“Business Central was recommended by another business. We looked at various premises but for us, the location of Business Central was just perfect. Being so close to the train station is ideal as we have clients all over the UK. The professional reception staff and meeting areas are fantastic but the selling point for us was the onsite fitness studio and spa.
“To have everything within one building means the staff don’t feel isolated if they’re working in the office alone.”
