STARSfor – the NEW National Business Accreditation Scheme for sustainable travel

PWLC ProjectsDo you have travel and transport issues that are proving difficult to resolve? Do you foresee requiring planning permission and don’t know where to start? Want to achieve a level of national accreditation? Expanding businesses are legally required to undertake a Transport Assessment and develop a Travel Plan that will reduce your company’s impact on the local road network and air quality.

The good news is that PWLC Projects, based in Business Central Darlington, are here to help. We specialise in assisting businesses and developers with travel planning and the delivery of activities that are designed to tackle any travel and transport issues that your site is currently facing.

The added bonus of developing a Travel Plan, is that while improving your environmental and CSR credentials, it can now also earn you national accreditation through the STARSfor scheme. On the 9th November, Darlington based organisation Modeshift, are proud to be launching STARSfor – the national ratings scheme created to recognise organisations that have demonstrated excellence in promoting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable travel.

PWLC Projects are official partners of Modeshift and have a dedicated team of Travel Planners who understand how to use the STARSfor portal to develop an effective, no-nonsense Travel Plan that can also earn your company national recognition from Modeshift.

38 local authorities nationally, including Darlington Borough Council, have been involved in the trial of the scheme along with Next PLC who are the first organisation in the country to receive STARSfor Accreditation.
